Typography

For the typography I decided to used a colour palette on Adobe Colour, which made my process of colours a lot easier due to all I had to do was type in Victorian colours and a large list of all different swatches came up I used the 'Victorian Rose' one.
 
For the information I used a simple black due to the fact that it is formal, simple to read and visible against the background I chose to use. Although it is a dull colour, its very safe due to the platform that the work will be displayed on as some people may not be able to see the writing due to their screen.
 
For the Titles I used a lightish brown/pink with the font Goudy Stout, the font I used because it had a Victorian feel to it along with this colour I felt completed the look I wanted.
 
I used the same fonts, size and colour throughout due to the fact that I wanted consistency within my work and did not want it to look messy.

Victorian Entertainment

It is obvious too see that the Victorian era was very much about performance via entertainment from its circus shows to freak shows to magic shows. Many of this entertainment has followed through to the 21 st century with the modern twist but looking into the Victorian periods where they basically had nothing compared to us today was very interesting. A freak show would be an exhibition of ‘freaks of nature’ displaying unusual looking humans whether they’re male or female, big or small. They were displayed in order to shock the audiences, real people basically made a mockery of for people’s entertainment. Freak shows were not all bad as they did show performing acts too like fire eating and stunts with swords, stuff that is commonly displayed on TV shows such as Britain’s got Talent.
